Controller vs. Processor Status
  • For Independent Contractors and Talent: Shoralink acts as the Data Controller. We determine the purposes and means of processing your professional and identification data to facilitate your service contracts.
  • For Clients: Shoralink acts as a Data Processor for certain business operations data you entrust to us, processing it solely on your behalf and in accordance with your instructions.

We collect only the information necessary to facilitate contractor management, compliance, and cross-border payments. The types of data we collect include:

  • Identity Data: Full name, date of birth, nationality, government-issued Tax Identification Numbers, and copies of government ID.
  • Contact Data: Email address, telephone number, and physical billing/mailing address.

  • Professional Data: Resumes (CVs), portfolios, work history, educational background, LinkedIn profile URL, and skills assessments.

  • Financial & Payment Data: Bank account details or digital wallet information required to process your fees.

While we utilize technology to assist in sourcing and matching talent, we do not use fully automated decision-making or Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make final engagement decisions. All final decisions regarding contractor engagements are reviewed by human specialists.

4. Third-Party Sharing and Financial Intermediaries

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We share data with specific partners strictly to operate our business:

  • Payment & Compliance Platforms (e.g., Deel): We utilize third-party platforms to facilitate contract management and international payments. Your data will be shared with these platforms to process your fees and ensure local compliance.

  • Clients: Prospective clients who review your professional profile for potential service engagements.

  • Service Providers: Vendors who assist with background checks, IT hosting, and document signing.
